Before and After: makeover of an old house
Transformation of an old house built in 1960. This became the main idea of the Bhargava family after moving to New Jersey from Europe.
The house did not need redevelopment, but its interior decoration is long outdated. The main task was to replace the old decor with a modern one and preserve the family traditions of Indian culture. The result was impressive, the photos clearly demonstrate the changes that can be achieved by setting a specific goal.
Kitchen makeover
The old wood paneling that covered most of the walls was removed, the floors and all the furniture were redone. The kitchen has been completely transformed!
Laundry
The room is located behind the kitchen. A new French door has been added for better lighting.
Dining room
The wall was removed to increase the space between the two rooms. The oversized structure on the ceiling has been replaced with a flat shade that gives the ceiling a clean look. The table has a niche for storage.
Living room
The room is divided into two sitting areas with the help of valuable relics – Indian pieces of furniture that the family refused to get rid of. A linear gas fireplace was installed, and all windows were replaced with energy-saving ones.
Bedroom
The room is finished, like the whole house, with walnut wood, the pride of the owners lies on the floor – Indian carpets.
